Visitor Auto-Signout is a feature that automatically signs out all visitors to a site at a specific time of day, or a certain number of hours after beginning their visit. This is useful for sites where visitors leave at set times, but often forget to sign out using the kiosk.
How To Access Visitor Auto-Signout Settings
Visitor Auto-Signout is a feature configured at the Site level in VisitorOS. To access these settings:
- Navigate to https://visitoros.goilobby.com/
- Select the Settings icon
> Sites > Select your site.
- The Visitor Auto-Signout Settings can be found on the Visitor Auto-Signout tab of the site settings, as shown below.
How to Configure Visitor Auto-Signout
VisitorOS has two options:
"Sign Out All Visitors Every Day at X" will sign out all visitors at the same time of day. To enable this, toggle the feature on, then click
On the configuration menu, you will be prompted to select a time of day when all visitors will be signed out. After this time, the visitor will no longer be visible under "signed in" in the Dashboard.
- You can also customize different sign-out times for different types of visitors by hitting "Add Visitor Type" and selecting a different sign-out time.
- Note: If you enable custom auto-signout times for specific visitor types, all other visitor types will use the default sign-out time under "All Visitor Types", so ensure to configure a time for this group as a catch-all.
"Sign Out All Visitors After X Hours" lets you select a specific number of hours after a visit begins, rather than a time of day, when signed in visitors will automatically be signed out.
On the configuration menu, you will be prompted to select a number of hours after initial sign-in when all visitors will be signed out. After this time period expires, the visitor will no longer be visible under "signed in" in the Dashboard.
- You can also customize different sign-out lengths for different types of visitors by hitting "Add Visitor Type" and selecting a different sign-out length.
