About the Devices Page
Devices are the iPads or Windows tablets that visitors use when entering a site. You can use the Devices page of the portal to remotely monitor the connectivity status of the devices used at all your sites and to gather additional details on their network and system properties.
Devices are managed in VisitorOS. To access the Devices page, login to VisitorOS (https://visitoros.goilobby.com/), then click Manage > Devices from the navigation menu as shown below:
For accounts with multiple sites and devices, click Filters to locate a device by site, by tag, or by status (online or offline)
Using the Devices Page
The Devices page shows the following information about each device:

Type: Will display an Apple or Microsoft logo, depending on whether it is an Apple or Windows Device.
- Site: The site that the device is assigned to and located at.

Status: This will either show online or offline. In order for the iLobby app to function properly, the device needs a strong internet connection (via WiFi or cellular). Connected devices show a status of Online (in green) on the dashboard.

Last seen: the time and date when the device was last online.
- Software: the manufacturer & model of the device and the version of operating system and the iLobby app installed on it.
- Device Name: The device name assigned in the device settings
- Any Tags you created for the device. Tags ae used to distinguish between devices used at the same site (for example, "Main Entrance" or "Reception")
You can customize the information that is displayed on the Devices page by clicking Grid Settings, then toggling on/off the device information that you need, as shown below. Be sure to hit once complete to save your changes.
Managing Sign-Ins With Offline Devices
The iLobby device can continue to operate while in offline mode, allowing visitors to sign in. Sign-ins done while the device is offline are stored on the device, and, once it comes online again, are shown in the "missing visitor" records and the logs. If an internet connection is re-established within 15 minutes, the device will send notifications to hosts about visitor sign-ins done while offline.
Managing the Device Profile Page
Click into any device to access it's Device Profile page.
A device's profile includes the following information:
- Device Name is taken from the device settings (Settings -> General -> About -> Name).
- The Make and Model of the device, the version of the operating system and the iLobby app installed on it, and whether push notifications are turned on for it.
- The Site (location) to which the device is assigned.
- Any Tags associated with the device. Tags are also shown in the hosts’ notifications and under the Visitor tab in the guest’s record.
- Connection Method shows the way the device is paired with its printer: this may be Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
- If the connection method is Wi-Fi, enter the Printer IP -Address(es) to connect the device and printer.
Additionally, you can manually turn a device online or offline by toggling .
Once you have made any changes to device settings, be sure to hit to save your changes.
