Getting Started: Epson Color Printer

Unpack your printer. Confirm you have all the required parts outlined below.

  1. Printer
  2. 2 sets of ink cartridges
  3. 6 rolls of Epson paper labels
  4. AC Adapter
  5. AC cable connector 
    Note: A Wi-Fi module may also be included if required.

Printer Assembly:

  1. Remove all protective materials, including inside the printer too.
  2. Place printer on a flat surface.
  3. Insert the AC adapter’s DC connector into the printers DC-in connector.
  4. Insert the AC cable connector into the AC adapter.
  5. Plug the AC cable into an outlet.  
     

 

Prepare Printer for Use:

  1. Hold down the power button until the power LED lights up. 
  2. Set language, date and time on the device
  3. Select the type of black ink being used (gloss or matte). Refer to the cartridges included to confirm accurate selection.
  4. Shake the ink cartridges before unpacking.
  5. Install the cartridges following the onscreen instructions.  
    Note: Ensure you are using the small ink cartridges. This is the priming stage and will take approximately 20 minutes. 

Insert the Paper Roll:

Note: Ensure you are using the correct paper rolls specifically designed for your printer, measuring 4" x 3" in size (6 rolls included). Using the right paper is crucial for optimal performance.

  1. Begin by opening the paper compartment door. Push the grey lever upwards to access the compartment.
  2. At the top of the printer there is a picture illustrating the proper Platen configuration. Review the illustration. Ensure that the Platen is set to the 101.6 mm option and aligned properly.
  3. Locate the blue lever. Push the lever upward. Once raised move the lever to the left until you meet resistance.
  4. Place the paper roll inside the compartment. Ensure the labels are facing upward.
  5. Push the lever down to securely lock it in place.
  6. Verify the labels are properly positioned by pulling out a few of the labels until they are visible when you close the paper compartment door. Once the labels are visible, close the door tightly.
  7. Press the pause button on the printer. This action will align the paper, preparing it for printing.
  8. Lastly, press the scissor button to cut off any extra labels, providing a clean and professional finish to your prints.

Connect the Printer to your iLobby Portal:

Begin by signing into your iLobby account using your login credentials. Once logged in, you'll be ready to configure your settings and start printing in color.

  1. Log in to FacilityOS
  2. Select 
  3. Under Visitor OS select  
     
     

Now, let's set up your color printer with a static IP address:

  1. In VisitorOS select to access the Main Menu
  2. Select
  3. Select the desired site for your color printer activation.
  4. Select
  5. Select the to enable badge printing 
     
     
  6. Choose Wi-Fi / Ethernet or Wi-Fi Direct as your preferred connection method 
     
     

  7. Enter the IP address of your printer
  8. Select "4x3 labels (Epson)" as the media type for your printer.
