Quick Start Guide 

Part I: Unbox & Configure iPad

Follow the steps below to get started with your new iLobby Kiosk iPad.

  1. Plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet.
  2. Hold the power button (on the top-left side of the iPad) until it powers on. (The Apple logo will appear on the iPad) 
    Note: If the iPad is connected to a cellular network, skip to Part II: Unbox and Configure the Printer
  3. On the home screen select the to access the settings menu
  4. Under the Settings menu select (on the left side of the screen) to enter Wifi Settings. 
  5. Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled by selecting the  

     

  6. Select the name of the Wi-Fi network you wish to join. 
  7. Enter the password for the network, then select Screenshot 2023-12-29 at 3.45.49 PM.png
     
  8. When the iPad has successfully joined the network, you will see a next to the network and a in the upper-right corner of the display. If you do not know the password to the Wi-Fi network, please contact your network administrator for assistance.

Part II: Unbox and Configure the Printer 

  1. Connect the AC power cord to the printer and to the AC adapter.  
  2. Plug the power cord into a grounded power outlet. 
  3. Once the printer is powered on, it should automatically pair to the iPad via Bluetooth.  
    Note: The QL820-NWB printer should have a solid Bluetooth logo on the top right corner of its screen to indicate a successful pairing with the iPad. No further configuration should be necessary.

Part III (Optional): Prepare iPad For Use as iLobby Device 

Once the printer and the iPad have been configured, Guided Access mode can be enabled on the iPad. Enabling Guided Access will lock the device on the iLobby application preventing unauthorized users from exiting the application, changing settings, accessing other applications or turning the iPad off.
