This guide outlines the steps required to enable Bluetooth printing in iLobby.

Configuration
Step 1: Enabling Bluetooth on the Printer
- Connect the AC power cord to the printer and to the AC adapter
- Plug the power cord into a grounded AC power outlet.

Turn the printer on (press the power
button). The status LED turns green.
- Press the Menu button.

Press the
buttons to select the [Bluetooth] menu, and then press [OK].

Select [Bluetooth (On/Off)] using the

- Use the [▲] and [▼] buttons to select Bluetooth > Automatic Reconnection > On in the settings menu. Press [OK].

Press
to go back to the main screen.
Bluetooth has now been enabled on the printer: aicon should be visible in the top right corner of the printer’s LCD screen to indicate this.
Step 2: Enabling Bluetooth on the iPad

Turn on the iPad: press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

Exit Guided Access (if enabled) by triple-tapping the Home button and enter the appropriate passcode.

Tap End (in the top left).
- Tap the Home button to return to the Home Screen.

On the home screen select the
to access the settings menu
- Select Bluetooth

to turn Bluetooth
[ON]

Select the Label Printer in the Devices list to connect. (The printer's name will start with the model number followed by 4 distinguishing numbers ie. QL-820NWBxxxx.)
Bluetooth has now been enabled on the iPad, and a connection to the printer has been established.
Step 3: Enable Bluetooth in the iLobby Portal
- Log in to VisitorOS: https://visitoros.goilobby.com/
- Select Settings
, then Sites. Click into your site.
- From the sites menu, select Features > Badge Printing

On the pop-out menu, set the Connection Method to Bluetooth.

(at the bottom of the screen).
Step 4: Confirm Bluetooth Printing Functionality
- Open the iLobby app on the iPad.
Note: If the app is already running, restart it by double-clicking the Home button and then swiping up on the iLobby window to close it.
(For iPads without Home button)
Swipe up from the bottom edge and pause in the center of the screen. - Proceed through the sign-in process as a test visitor. A badge should be printed at the end of the sign-in process.
- If successful lock the iPad back into Guided Access by triple-tapping the Home button (tap Start at the top right if prompted).
