In an emergency situation iLobby is here to support your team! Use EmergencyOS to ensure all staff and visitors are accounted for and evacuated to safety as quickly as possible. Get started running your first evacuation with iLobby’s EmergencyOS.
There are 3 methods to start an emergency evacuation; the iLobby portal, onsite iPad kiosk and the iLobby mobile companion app.
Note: Corporate tier is required in order to start an emergency evacuation from the iLobby mobile app.
Starting an Evacuation using the iLobby Portal
- Start by logging in to FacilityOS
- Select
- Under Emergency OS select
- Start an evacuation by selecting the in the top right corner
- Pick the desired site for the emergency event.
- Select whether the emergency event is a drill or an emergency. If you select drill, all of your drill emergency profiles will populate. If you select emergency, all of your emergency profiles will populate.
- Select the emergency profile that corresponds with the nature of emergency you are experiencing (ex. Fire Evacuation)
- If you would like notifications to be sent to participants, please ensure the next section is NOT enabled. However, if you do not wish to send notifications to participants during the emergency event, enable this option.
- If desired, compose a customized message for your evacuees. This will be sent by email.

That's it! The evacuation will be initiated promptly. Remember, you have the flexibility to stop the evacuation anytime by selecting
Starting an Evacuation using the onsite iPad Kiosk
- Start an evacuation by selecting the text logo in the bottom left corner of the Welcome screen
- Enter your Emergency PIN code
Note: PIN code to trigger an evacuation is set in VisitorOS module of the iLobby portal under Features > Emergency Evacuation > Configure
- Select whether the emergency event is a drill or emergency.
- Select the emergency profile that corresponds with the nature of emergency you are experiencing. If you have select a drill, only your drills profiles will display. If you have selected emergency, only your emergency profiles will display.
- If you need to, you can add additional messaging in the Email Additional Message section.
- Select when ready.
- A 10 second countdown will be displayed on the device once an evacuation has started. Select within these 10 seconds to cancel the evacuation.
Note: Once an evacuation has started, the kiosk device will be locked on an Emergency Mode evacuation screen.

That's it! Once your evacuation has been completed select Finish Evacuation to end the evacuation.
- Follow the onscreen prompts to re-enter your Emergency PIN.
- Select Confirm to finalize the end of your Evacuation.
Starting an Evacuation using the iLobby Companion App
- Open the main menu by selecting the
- Select from the main menu
- Pick the desired site for the evacuation.
- Select whether the emergency event is a drill or an emergency. If you select drill, all of your drill emergency profiles will populate. If you select emergency, all of your emergency profiles will populate.
- Select the emergency profiles that corresponds with the nature of emergency you are experiencing (ex. Fire Evacuation)
- If you would like notifications to be sent to participants, please ensure the next section is NOT enabled. However, if you do not wish to send notifications to participants during the emergency event, enable this option.
- If desired compose a customized message for your evacuees. This will be sent by email.
- Select to begin your evacuation
That’s it! An evacuation can be ended from the main menu or the Dashboard within the mobile app. Use the to access the main menu or select , to complete the evacuation select Finish Evacuation.
