Creating Custom Roles in EmergencyOS

Custom roles in EmergencyOS empower the right people, with the right information and access to run an efficient and safe evacuation.  Get started creating custom roles in EmergencyOS today!

Creating an EmergencyOS Custom Role:

  1. Start by logging in to FacilityOS
  2. Select 
  3. Click the Launch button in the EmergencyOS module selector
  4. Once logged into EmergencyOS, click on the settings icon
  5. From the settings menu, select Roles 
     
  6. Once selected, you will be directed to the EmergencyOS Roles listing.  This listing is a catalogue of the default roles (Account Administrator, Safety Officer & Site Administrator) and any custom roles that have been created  
  7. To create a custom role, begin by clicking on the Add Role button
  8. Enter a name, and description (if desired), for the Role

    Note: To easily distinguish between roles during assignment ensure names for custom roles are specific.
    Note: UsersCount will always be 0 and greyed out when creating a new role. This field will be auto-filled once the role has been created and assigned to a user(s).
  9. Assign permissions to the role by checking all desired boxes
  10. Once all desired permissions have been assigned, click the Save button
  11. Select the Back button to return to the Roles listing
  12. The custom role will now appear under the Roles listing
