Printing Visitor Badges - Old Portal

Use this function to control how visitor badges are printed from the device. 

Once this functionality is set up, badges are printed automatically when visitors sign in.   

 

The procedures in this article are accessing by clicking  and then Configuration

 

On the Badge Printer Settings window:  

 

 

 

1. Click Connection method and choose whether to connect to:

 

- WiFi/Ethernet (Brother QL-820NWB monochrome printers, or Brother HL-3170CDW color printer)

  
If this method is selected, enter the printer IP address into the IP address field.

 

 

- Bluetooth (Brother QL-820NWB)

 

Note: For the Bluetooth connection to work, version 18.2.6 or newer of the iLobby app needs to be installed on the device, and DK-2205 or DK-22205 badge rolls inserted in the printer.

 

2. Set the Media Type to reflect the type of paper the printer will use for badges.

 

- For Brother QL 820 NWB monochrome printers select Continuous roll (Black & White or Expiring roll (Black & White).

- For Brother HL-3170CDW color printer, select Pre-cut 4x6.

 

3. Choose the appropriate layout from the Badge Templates list:

 

- There are 6 layouts for black/white printers (Brother QL-820NWB)  

 

 

- 1 layout for a color printer (Brother HL-3170CDW).

4. Select which visitor types should not have visitor badges printed for them by checking them under Exclude the following visitor types
