What Is a Document Type?
A Document Type is used to classify different categories of documents in ContractorOS. All documents are assigned Document Types based on certain characteristics. You can view all of your documents and their Document Types by navigating to Manage > Document Library.
What Types of Document Types are Used?
Vendor or Contractor
- Contractor - Documents tagged with the Contractor Document Type are configured to be filled out by Contractors.
- Vendor - Documents tagged with the Vendor Document Type are configured to be filled out by Vendor representatives.
Global or Site
- Global - Documents tagged with the Global Document Type are available to Site Administrators at all Sites within an account using ContractorOS.
- Site - Documents tagged with the Site Document Type are only visible to Site Administrators within one specific site using ContractorOS.
How Are Document Types Assigned?
Document types are assigned during the onboarding phase, when Site Administrators work with their ContractorOS onboarding team to create their Document Library.
