How to Assign a Task to a Vendor or Contractor

Introduction

ContractorOS gives Sites a seamless way to manage Vendor compliance by ensuring that all required documentation is provided and inspected digitally before the Vendor or their Contractors are permitted on-site. 

Task assignment is the key process by which Site Administrators declare which documents (Tasks) are required in order to be considered Compliant for work at that Site. The Site Administrator can assign tasks to Vendors or Contractors

 

Assigning a Task When Registering a New Vendor

1. Login to ContractorOS

2. Navigate to Manage > Vendors

3. Click Invite Vendor and follow the prompts to register your new vendor

4. On "Step 3: Assign Tasks", assign any required tasks. Select the Vendor tab to assign tasks to the Vendor, or the Contractor tab to assign tasks to all Contractors employed by that Vendor. 

5. Click Next, then click Done. 

All done! Your Vendor will be invited and will automatically be prompted to complete the Vendor documents that you have assigned during the registration process. When this Vendor enrolls their Contractors, each Contractor will be prompted to complete the Contractor documents that you have assigned as well. 

 

Assigning a Task to an Existing Vendor

1. Login to ContractorOS

2. Navigate to Manage > Vendors

3.  Select the Vendor that you wish to assign tasks to, and click on their name to enter the Vendor Details page.

4. On the Vendor Details Page, click the blue  Assign Task button in the top-right corner. 

5. On the Assign Task module, select any required tasks. Select the Vendor tab to assign tasks to the Vendor, or the Contractor tab to assign tasks to all Contractors employed by that Vendor. Then click  Confirm

All done! The updated tasks will be assigned to the Vendor and/or their Contractors, and will become required for completion in order to be designated as Compliant for work at your site.
